Diversion

Consider a movement towards the spotlight. Reject or move. In light with trembling knees and a curved spine loses its gloss appearance and makes the apparent risk of disappearing.  Diversion or Schijnbeweging is an installation created for the Expo - OMG of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the Old Church Amsterdam. Texts, so small that it forces you to kneel on the kneeling cushion, a movement of modesty. Making yourself small in a moment of nothingness, where the representation of the self is left behind. The kneeling cushions are treated with floch which creates small hairs; by kneeling they are pressed flat and will disappear.
